CBC-Colorado Students Encourage Believers in the UK

Charis Bible College-Colorado's team stands with Allan Bruce, Director of CBC-Belfast, Northern Ireland. (Click to enlarge)In late February, Charis Bible College's Missions Coordinator, Michelle Patterson, and a team of eight second-year CBC-Colorado students ventured across the pond to minister in the United Kingdom. The annual trip to the UK, which includes stops in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, is unlike the majority of the mission trips CBC offers. The students' primary audience for ministry in the UK is other believers, rather than the lost people of un-churched third-world nations. While the mission field is different, the impact is still powerful as this type of ministry mirrors the Apostle Paul's journeys to encourage and edify those already established in the Kingdom.CBC-Colorado and CBC-UK students in Walsall, England. The students had the opportunity to teach at CBC extension campuses in Walsall, England and in Belfast as well as minister at Glen Aros Church in Dumfries, Scotland. The team also participated in several evangelistic outreaches as they toured the UK.

One Colorado student, Lorin Guilkey, set his expectations for the trip on witnessing the miraculous; he wanted to see God work through him—and he did. He was standing outside the school in Belfast when a woman, who could barely walk, approached him. CBC-Colorado student, Lorin Guilkey ministers from the pulpit. Lorin wanted to God to use him and He did. (Click to enlarge)The woman hobbled across the street and asked Lorin if he could pray for healing in her back. Lorin prayed, and the woman instantly received relief from her pain.

The Lord used another CBC-Colorado student, Michael Lee, to share a word of encouragement with the students attending CBC-Belfast. Michael challenged them to begin to utilize the gifts the Lord had given each one for the benefit of the school and the body of Christ as a whole. Evidently, it was the right word at exactly the right time because several students approached Michael and others on the Colorado team, and shared that Michael Lee, ministering at CBC-Belfast, where he encouraged the Belfast students to step out in their faith and utilize their God-given gifts. (Click to enlarge) they had been struggling to know if they should step out and use their talents. The next day, a student with musical talent, got up to assist the school's director, Allan Bruce, by singing and playing the piano during praise and worship—something Allan usually did by himself. This experience was also an encouragement for Michael. "I learned that God could even use me, a middle-aged man, who had lived most of my life being self-centered, but when I truly surrendered my life and future to Christ, God was free to do amazing things through me," said Michael joyfully.CBC-Colorado students during a time of prayer ministry at Glen Aros Church in Dumfries, Scotland. Pastor John Donnelly, of Glen Aros Church in Scotland, offered these encouraging words of thanks to the team after their time in Scotland, "We can't quite find the words to say thank you to you and the team that have just been with us. We have been impacted as a church in a way that maybe I didn't think possible, and all of it for the good. Please do pass our love and thanks on to all of the team; they have left us with a legacy that will go on forever. As we gathered at church this morning we really felt that things had changed and that we had been strengthened and galvanized as we prepare to move on to the next level. Thank you all."

On the Road with Andrew: England II

Pastor Pamela healed following the Ministers’ Conference last year. (Click to enlargePastor Pamela shared her testimony of being healed of a breast tumor. By “speaking to her mountain” as Andrew teaches, she saw it shrink and disappear over time.

Mandy saw huge tumor in stomach shrink to nothing. (Click to enlarge)Mandy, wife of Dave Morgan, vocalist for the British rock band, Electric Light Orchestra, tells of seeing a 14 pound tumor in her stomach disappear by “speaking to her mountain” after hearing Andrew teach.

Eraj experienced complete release from pain at the Ministers’ Conference. (Click to enlarge)Eraj from Sri Lanka tells of speaking to a strong and persistent pain in his side, after hearing Andrew’s teaching on God TV and on the internet. The pain diminished in a series of steps. The final healing occurred as Andrew taught at the next to last session of the Minister’s Conference. He walked out of that session completely pain free!

Former Muslim, Japhary received a revelation of grace from Andrew. (Click to enlarge)Japhary tells of falling into a works mentality, wanting so much to “do something” for Jesus after being born again. His Muslim background made him vulnerable to a works mentality and he needed to renew his mind. Even gratitude to Jesus can lead to Old Testament bondage unless the gospel truth is known. Listening to Andrew, he received a liberating revelation of grace, realizing that Jesus wanted fellowship and relationship more than good works.

Japhary had much to be grateful for. In his 20s he survived the Rwandan genocide in his homeland, being miraculously rescued seven times. One night in a vivid dream Jesus Christ appeared to him, asking him to follow him. Now that Japhary knows the author of life—he understands who spared him during the Rwandan holocaust.

With his testimony ringing in our ears, we anticipate our return tomorrow to Rwanda’s neighbor, Uganda. Many there are still hurt and confused by the death of Leland Shores. This will be a time of healing on many levels. The truth that gives us rest and peace, is that the ministry in Uganda was never Leland’s, it belonged to the Lord of Glory. And no matter what comes, He who began a good work will finish it until the day of Christ.

On the Road with Andrew: England I

Andrew teaching at the Andrew Wommack Ministries Minister's Conference in the UK. (Click to enlarge)In Germany, Pastor Zaida Gates asked, “Where can a faith pastor go when he or she becomes sick and needs help?”

The answer? To Andrew’s Ministers’ Conference. Whether well, sick, or just plain weary—pastors, evangelists, teachers, apostles, and prophets—all need a time of refreshing.

This is not a public event. It is a time and place for full time ministers to get off the stage, out of the spotlight, and relax together with others who share their unique issues. Andrew ministers to ministers about the fear of the Lord. (Click to enlarge)Andrew and Jamie love to minister to this special group, whether in the USA or in Europe.

The conference at the Hilton, Stratford-Upon-Avon, England, was booked solid, with many more wanting to come than the accommodations could afford. Next year, a new venue will be sought. At this event, many healings were reported as Andrew and Bob Yandian ministered the word of God for three inspiring days.Charlie and Jill LeBlanc leading worship. (Click to enlarge)

Always a highlight of any Ministers’ Conference is the final night praise-medley by Charlie and Jill titled, “There is a River.” In England they are always joined by beloved sound technician, John Elshaw, who adds the wail of a blues harmonica to the performance. Even the “stiff upper lip” folk were seen dancing in the aisles.
